The Kingsport Antique and Rod Club held it's annual Wal-Mart
Cruise-In on Friday night May 23, 2008. This Cruise-In
is held each year on Memorial Day weekend. There is no
entry fee but donations are accepted to benefit Ronald
McDonald House. Wal-Mart furnished a $100 gift card as
a Grand Prize which was won by a lucky participant. Major
sponsors of the Wilderness Trail Rod Run, John's Auto
Sales and Rainbow Motors, also donated two new bicycles
which were given away to two lucky children. Donations
of $1280 were received from participants and spectators.
Wal-Mart donated another $1000 and proceeds from concessions
were also donated. The total estimated donations totaled
approximately $3000 for Ronald McDonald House. There were
an estimated 450 cars in attendance.
